G. Yokouchi Watercolor
This watercolor is from the school of early 20th century Japanese artists trained in western style art and signing their names in Roman letters. Ginnosuke Yokouchi, also know as Tasuke or G.T. Yokouchi, lived from 1870 to 1942. This watercolor depicts large masses of chrysanthemums reflected in a pool of water, with a house in the background. The back is marked ‘Wunderly Bros. Fine Art, Pittsburgh, PA.
